How do I add a reading?‍

Tap the + Add Entry button on the main screen, enter your dog’s blood glucose and any other details, then save. You can add readings at any time.

Can I edit or delete a reading?

Yes. Tap any reading to edit it. To delete a reading, swipe left on it in the list or delete it from the View Entry screen.

What's the difference between Morning, Evening, and Spot Check entries?

Morning and Evening identify readings taken as part of your regular twice-daily routine. Spot Check is for additional readings taken at other times. Using these entry types makes patterns easier to see in charts.

How can I see a trend of my dog's blood glucose values?

Use the Chart button at the bottom of the app to see your dog's blood glucose values as a line chart over time.

Can I run a curve in My Diabetic Pet?

Yes. If you're doing a glucose curve under your veterinarian's guidance, log the readings in My Diabetic Pet as you take them. In the Chart section, select the 12h time range to view the curve over 12 hours.

Can someone else help track my dog's readings?

Yes. Use the Manage Sharing button in Settings to send a link to another caregiver, like a spouse or a dog sitter. Once they have the app and see your dog's readings, you can decide what level of access to grant them: Full Access or Log Only.

Does a caregiver I've shared my dog with have to subscribe to the app too?

No, My Diabetic Pet is free for shared caregivers as long as they don't also have their own dog in the app.

Where is my dog's data stored?

Your dog's data is stored on your device and, if iCloud sync is enabled, synchronized through your private iCloud account. We do not operate our own server containing your dog's health records.

Is my dog's data backed up?

If iCloud sync is enabled, your data is synchronized between your devices through iCloud. And each time you add an entry, a backup is made and stored locally on your device. You can also export your data from Settings to keep your own copy.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Use the Manage Subscriptions button in Settings to switch plans or cancel your subscription at any time.

How do I restore my subscription?

Tap Restore Purchases in Settings to check with Apple for an active subscription associated with your Apple Account.

How do I import data?

Tap Import Entries in Settings. Import supports files in the same format created by the Export feature.

Is this app a replacement for veterinary advice?

No! My Diabetic Pet is a tracking tool only. Always consult your veterinarian for guidance on your pet’s care.
